Anti-Delusion Mechanism is a collaborative organization that functions as the basis for a collection of artistic/creative projects. These projects have taken on various shapes: from one time site/event specific performance and installations, a continuing musical interpretation of the text of Maldoror, larger projects such as The Genetic Cabaret involving a larger group and a more or less set structure which is repeated at each performance, as well as solo work. We work in the various mediums of sound/music, dance and body performance, photography, video and other visual art forms. Our work has been created in and sometimes largely influenced by the larger squatted buildings we have occupied in Amsterdam. Mainly the former Graansilo (grain silo) 1989-98, the former OLVG hospital 1998-99, the ADM terrain from 1997 on and from 1999 also the former film-academy located at Overtoom 301.
